About the event

In this talk, the acclaimed Malaysian violinist and Suzuki-method music educator Kian Chong (BMus; MMus, University of Denver) will share his experiences of performing and delivering music education across different cultural contexts. Mr. Chong is currently the Director of the Hong Kong Suzuki Music Institute. His extensive career has included performances and teaching in Asia, Europe, and North America. He will discuss how adjusting and adapting to new environments, values, and customs is challenging but achievable through universal ways of communication like music.
