About the event
The University of Hong Kong’s Multicultural and Global Diversity Project Team and Kannada Sangha Hong Kong proudly presents Indian-Karnataka Cultural Evening: Language, Dance, Food and Reflection on Nurturing Community Culture in Hong Kong. This event aims to introduce members of the HKU community and the Hong Kong public to the rich culture and tradition of dance of the Kannada people of the southern Indian state of Karnataka.
Theatre doors will remain open throughout the duration of the show. Guests unable to attend the reception or sharing session are welcome to join us for the show or workshop.
Event proceedings:
6 PM to 6:30 PM - Reception (refreshments to be served)
6:30 to 7:10PM - Interactive Sharing Session about language and cultures and illustration of dance and music by Kannada Sangha HK members
7:10 to 8:10PM- Performance from Swaravi Arts Foundation dancers
